Background[]

Were a group of mounted cavalry lead by the Red Helmet Ratman Mize. All members in the group belong to the Ash-mouse tribe and each hold the "Beastmaster" skill, allowing them to ride their six-legged Dash Boar. The group also use a species called Dull Deer as their pack mule.

Plot[]

Web Novel[]

Shortly after leaving Seiryuu City, Satou's group spots a large swarm of flying ants chasing after a group of ratmen cavalry. Unable to shake their relentless pursuers and having already lost many members, the red helmeted leader of the cavalry unit passes their ward to Satou, before making a suicidal charge against the pursuers with their remaining riders in order to buy time for Satou's group to escape.

Light Novel[]

Satou's group never met the ratmen cavalry in the wilderness due to their extended stay in Seiryuu City. And while the ratmen were still decimated by Zen's pursuers, Mize alone manages to escape and bring Mia into Seiryuu City.

With the conclusion of the incident at the Maze of Trazayuya and Satou's departure from Seiryuu City, Satou's group chances upon the route taken by the ratmen cavalry during their flight from Zen's pursuers. As Mia mourned for her former protectors by reciting their names, Satou soon noticed some of the people named were in fact alive and being held as slaves in a nearby town. Having rushed to the town to secure the ratmen's freedom, Satou sets off towards the Ash-mouse tribe's village in order to take the ratmen home. But in the end, this proves unnecessary as they soon met Mize who was leading a party to search for his surviving comrades. After giving their thanks to Satou and saying good-bye to their "princess", Mize and the six survivors part ways with Satou and heads for home.
